Another 500 Mile Walk

Not really - this camino is only 713 kilometers, 443 miles.  The trip is still in the early planning.   Walking starts on August 15, 2015 in Le Puy, France and ends on September 25, 2015 in St Jean Pied de Port, France.  On this trip, we are booking ahead and using a baggage carrier.  (SlackPacking!)

The Le Puy Route is one of the four traditional camino routes in France.

In August 2013, we started the Camino Francés in St Jean Pied de Port, France and walked to Santiago, Spain.  This time we are starting at the beginning, in Le Puy, France. The French walkers we met in Spain wondered why more pilgrims don't start in France when France is so beautiful.

We're reviewing our Camino de Santiago to help us plan for this walk.  The packing list was spot on.  We both need new walking shoes, new insoles and new socks.  Guidebook is on order.  Looking into airfare.  Thinking about pre and post camino travel in France, Spain, Portugal, Italy.  All depends on where we fly-in and fly-out of.
