Plane tickets have been purchased. Travel medical insurance has been secured. We fly out of Tampa on August 8th and arrive in Barcelona on August 9th. We are scheduled to fly home from Barcelona on October 9th.
We are planning on staying in Barcelona for 2-4 days and then catch a train to Lyon, France for 2-4 days and then catch a train to Le Puy where we start our walk.
We want to arrive in Le Puy on August 12th or 13th. Lots to do and to see in Le Puy including getting our credentials (for our stamps we get along the route) at the cathedral.
We have our detailed itinerary and guidebooks to study.
We start walking on Augutst 16th and will finish in St Jean Pied de Port on September 25. The town where we started our first long walk.
Sue's new hiking boots arrived today (ordered the same boots I used in Spain). Marilyn is still deciding on boots.
We need to start planning our pre and post camino time. We have train tickets to buy and lodging reservations to make. The next 6 months will fly by.
The camino is coming together.
