Estaing to Espeyrac - 50 kilometers or so it seemed

We will never know how far.  Should have about 25 kilometers but?  We took the short cut - the GR6 - instead of the regular route the GR65.

We got lost!  Imagine that.  We flagged down a car and the wonderful french woman gave us a ride back to get us back on track.  Beautiful walk. Only came across one other hiker

The day started off  with a nice breakfast and we headed out the door at 9:00

Right away we saw the couple from Paris

They advised us to take the GR6.  We enjoyed their company the past week

This was the way we went 

Up up, beautiful view back towards town

Later we waited for cows to cross the path 

We walked and walked 

Back on the right track

Stopped for snacks

Arrived at our destination at 5:00.  The hotel

Dinner very good, dessert - chocolate tart with nuts, swimming in cream

Whew!
