Last nights hotel was in Monistrol D-Allier so that was our starting point today. By starting here we avoided some very steep descents and saved our knees.

Coming into Saugues - carvings out of a single tree. We took pictures for other walkers and they took ours. Photo shoot with a gal from southern France and a French fellow - we all had a good laugh
We arrived in Saugues, our stopping point and hotel wasn't open yet so we were walking around and happened to meet Jeanine. World famous! No joke. She invited us in and stamped our credentials. Mare put a dot on the globe - St. Pete, Florida,
Walkers we met the past 2 days stopped in too - they knew all about her- she's been on TV.
After coffee and tea, we checked into hotel - had nice baths and did some laundry. Waiting for dinner - only some nuts and nectarines since our le petit dejeuner.
Our hotel doesn't serve dinner on Monday nights so we dined down the street.
