Nice breakfast at hotel before starting out at 8:00.
Short and easy day so we added 2 kilometers to visit the tiny fortified town of Larressingle. This was the fortress of the bishops of Condom in the Middle Ages.
Then we crossed Pont d'Artigues, a Roman bridge over the Osse.
A little further along we stopped at Eglise de Routges, the oldest church in the region. The small side door of the church was the entrance for the Cagots, the outcasts of the area.
After all the rain yesterday, the trail was muddy
Arrived at stopping point early so we stopped for a tea and coffee. Then we went to our lodging - Les Agapanthes, and they didn't have our reservation down and our bags weren't there. The guy was nice and figured it out but then the baggage guy stopped and picked up some bags but wasn't going to leave ours. The hotel guy retrieved our bags and saved the day. But we got someone else's room, not sure what's going to happen with that. C'est la vie. Hotel guy said - he work it out.
Out lodging is super nice, old house with quite a few rooms. Our room has fireplace, non working, table with chairs, second room with another bed, lots of space.
Mare asked about doing laundry, he got a bag for us and they will wash and dry. Didn't ask $$$, but nice.
Our room has all 3 windows
Before dinner we were served an aperitif with some crackers
Dinner - awesome. Good company and good food.
Started with zucchini cream soup followed with salad plate - melon, cukes, ham, tomatoes with cream sauce
Followed with a scallop risotto
Followed with cheese and then an apple tart
Could have had coffee or tea, but too full
