We did get our chocolate croissant fix to start the day, and a plain croissant, and our coffee and tea.
The first town we walked through this morning - Eauze. Nice town but we didn't stay long, we still had 25 kilometers to go.
The church walls were a combo of building stones from roman building and bricks
Back at it
We got our first glimpse of the Pyrénées. They will be getting closer and closer.
Overcast but not raining, trail was still muddy in sections
Break time, crackers and trail mix
Walking and walking
Eclipse Sainte Christie
We crossed the greenwich meridian
And finally after 29 kilometers, 17-18 miles, our stopping point
A welcome sight
Has palm trees too
After nice hot baths we got the laundry done - 3 euros
Today we saw the other 5 people who stayed at the same place with us 2 nights ago. One couple is staying at this place tonight. Small world on the trail.
Dinner - 18 travelers staying here and we were at one big table
Dinner - aperitif, wine, soup, pork stew with rice
Dessert - individual apple custard with local brandy - Armagnac - quite good
Hope you are both well and enjoying your walk. I can't believe how far you have already walked.!! Food still looks delicious and I bet the wine is very good. Weather is changing here and nights are darkening quickly. Keep on trekking and enjoy.
