Mas de Vers to Cahors - 19 kilometers

After petit dejeuner - yogurt, bread, tea and coffee - we started out at 8:00 and arrived at hotel at 2:30.  Checked in but our luggage hadn't arrived so we walked around the old area of town.

Beautiful weather,  50s to start and now mid 70s and sunny.

Only came across 5 walkers on the trail today.  Two women from Denmark, 2 men from Belgium and a single man (origin unknown).  We all stayed at the same place last night.

Nice walking early in the day

We didn't get water but took a break here

Historic bridge we walk across tomorrow on our way out of town.  Valentre Pont - finest example of a fortified bridge in Europe.

Old part of Cahors - 13th century homes - this is one of the oldest half-timbered houses in southern France.

Cahors cathedral

Dinner was at a restaurant in old town.

Nice dinner, the chef came into dining room many times to see how we liked everything.  Staff was awesome.

The salad - peaches, tomatoes, greens, goat cheese etc

Entree - skirt steak with vegetables.

Dessert - Mare went with pear pie and I had fromage

Bon appétit!
