Started with a rocky descent and then nice trails.
Started out at 8:00, after chocolate croissants, croissants, bread, tea and coffee. We bought a fromage sandwich to take with.
We stopped and ate our sandwich around 11:30, six others walkers stopped at the same spot - 4-5 picnic tables makes for a popular spot.
Our first fields of sun flowers.
Track was dirt and stones today
Some mud
Unknown crop
A gariotte, looks like a caselle to me.
At last a sign for our lodging.
Tiny Chapelle St-Jean along the path - always open so walkers can get shelter in bad weather
Walking, walking
Our lodging. Gîte Clos de Gamel.
Nice place, a swimming pool but a little too cool out to take a dip. We soak our feet for awhile.
What's for dinner?
We had a terrific dinner. Wine and great food.
Crudités - shredded carrots with garlic and a mild dressing.
Lasagna - very good
Fresh green salad with vinegar and olive oil dressing
Cheese plate
Fresh fruit salad for dessert.
Definitely stay here again.
Good thing we walk 14 miles tomorrow.
